Phoebe

Phoebe

Phoebe is a loner. She's got a really sweet personality, but she likes to be alone.  Phoebe was a feral kitten that someone had left alone in a barn.  A kind person found her and took her to a local vet's office where she was given medical attention and put up for adoption.
Apparently the vet was keeping her separate from other cats at the office who were up for adoption because they didn't know how a feral kitten would behave around other kittens.  When she met Nikita at the vet's office they got along immediately and started to play.  Now they are very close friends.
When we met her at the vet's she liked to be held and snuggled, but when she got home, she just wanted to hide. Her new surroundings were a real shock. This was probably made worse because the adult cats all hissed at her on her first night here scaring her.
She now plays with most of them (except Gretel, our other loner) and has developed a special friendship with rocky.  Phoebe's nervousness seems to make her not want to be held and cuddled by us very much, but she will sit by us and let us pet her from time to time.
