Rocky

Rock Island, Illinois

(Yes that is his full name)

Rocky was born the day after we got married.  When we met him at the vet's office (there was a sign out front saying "free kittens") we took that as a sign that we needed to adopt him.
Ethan and I were married in Rock Island, Il (in the same court house as my parents were 39 years earlier), so because he was born the day after our wedding we named him Rock Island, Illinois.  But that's a mouth full, so we call him Rocky.
When we first brought Rocky home, the other cats didn't like him. Hansel and Gretel and Nermie all hissed at him and we were afraid he wouldn't be able to stay with us.  We introduced him slowly to the older cats and after a few days, Rocky and Nermie became best friends. Nermie taught Rocky all kinds of things. Rocky learned to trill like a Siamese, to climb the cat tree, and to wrestle.   He has surpassed his teacher in one area though: he can bury his own poo in the litter box.
Rocky is fond of eating sardines, playing with the feather toy and wrestling.
He loves the two newest additions to our household, Phoebe and Nikita who are closer to his age than the other cats.  Although it has taken the older cats a while to get used to the two newer cats, Rocky loved them at first site and has made them two of his best buddies.
